What games to buy?
I am about ready to purchase the platinum edition which comes with eye of the north and the original guild wars. Also purchasing Nightfall, leaving out factions.Any suggestions on what games to buy will be great.
Also im not sure how it works, i can play every game i purchase on the same character? |

heres a well thought out thread for what game to buy:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10102502 and yes you can play all the games on one char, be sure to NOT make differnt accounts for each though - use the "I have a new key" link (at login) |

I personally loved factions and NF, prophecies was meh for me. Only reason I got it was for ToA and 55 monks :/ I'd recommend getting EoTN separately, since it's only 10 bucks at target.

I don't think factions is that bad, I'm enjoying it, it's good to have all 3 so if you get miffed by one you just take a boat ride to another continent (or map travel in EotN's case)

Factions was my second game, and I too love/loved it. (I like the Assassin). Anyway, I PvP more then I PvE, and if you're looking to do some of that, it would be ideal for you to have as many of the games as possible (for spells/skills purposes).

I think you have the right idea, I find that factions is more or less the most difficult campaign for new players while NF and Proph is more accommodating.
You will be missing out on Alliance battles which is currently the largest PvP offered in guild wars (12v12). Its kind of capture the flag like. I find that players who are inexperienced with pvp prefer to start playing alliance battles because there is more room for error and less individual pressure per individual. Either Way you have alot of gaming ahead of you with current plan. If you wish to jump into pvp you should have no problem getting started in random arenas which you will have access to. |
